about

All music was composed for the short film, "Wrong Side Up", a coming of age story about a twelve-year-old boy whose fate is determined by his father’s departure and the impending Dust Bowl.
Four tracks were composed by film composer Christopher Joye and feature banjo and fiddle, along with modern soundtrack instrumentation. They range stylistically from impending uncertainty to carefree, child-like moods.
One track was composed by The Dustbowl Revival and Zach Lupetin, "Soldier Boy". It is a beautifully arranged track for vocals (and trumpet and trombone) that nails the overall mood of the Dustbowl era - raw, soulful, and wrought with tense emotion. It is a perfect match for the film.
